## Title: Communications Specialist

About the Role

The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing YAPPI's 5-year communication strategy to enhance the program's visibility, engage key audiences, and promote gender equality and inclusivity for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This role involves managing content creation, digital marketing, media relations, and internal and external communications to effectively position YAPPI as a leading youth initiative in animation and post-production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive 5-year communication strategy aligned with YAPPI's goals
  • Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand identity across all communication channels
  • Identify and engage target audiences through tailored communication plans that promote gender equality and disability inclusion
  • Create, manage, and distribute engaging and inclusive content for social media, website, newsletters, press releases, and other platforms
  • Collaborate with team members and participants to gather impact stories, testimonials, and visuals that showcase program achievements
  • Design and execute digital marketing campaigns, manage social media platforms, and use analytics to optimize communication strategies
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage for YAPPI
  • Draft and distribute press materials, coordinate interviews, and serve as spokesperson when required
  • Ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders (staff, mentors, partners) and external stakeholders (government, NGOs, industry)
  • Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, prepare regular reports, and contribute to program evaluations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in communications, preferably in a nonprofit or youth-focused program
  • Proven expertise in digital marketing and media relations
