Communication Officer at Damnaish Human Capacity Building Initiative (DHCBI)

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and motivated Communication Officer to join our dynamic team. The Communication Officer will play a key role in shaping the organization's public image, enhancing visibility, and ensuring effective communication of our mission, projects, and impact. The role involves managing multimedia content creation, social media platforms, and visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote organizational activities
• Create engaging content including graphics, videos, infographics, and reports
• Manage social media platforms, ensuring timely updates and audience engagement
• Document organizational activities through photography and videography
• Design newsletters, brochures, flyers, and other communication materials
• Support program teams with communication needs, including success stories and field updates
• Monitor and analyze communication reach and impact to inform strategies
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field
• Proven experience in video production, photography, and graphic design
• Strong proficiency in design and editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro)
• Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms professionally
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask effectively
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of initiative
