## Title: Business Development Executive

About the Role

Valiente Asset Management Limited is recruiting a Business Development Executive to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and drive growth across our investment product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase Assets Under Management (AUM)
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), corporates, institutions, and retail investors
  • Promote mutual funds, portfolio management services, and other investment products in line with SEC guidelines
  • Prepare and deliver sales pitches, proposals, and investment presentations to prospective clients

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing regular updates on portfolio performance
  • Understand clients' financial goals and recommend appropriate investment solutions
  • Provide after-sales service and handle client inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Market Research & Analysis

  • Monitor financial market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the asset management industry
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and distribution channels
  • Provide insights to support product development and marketing strategies

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all marketing and business development activities comply with SEC regulations and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate records of business leads, sales activities, and client interactions
  • Prepare periodic business development reports for management review

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–5 years' experience in business development, sales, or relationship management in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Financial Services
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and the regulatory environment in Nigeria
