## Title: Business Development Executive
About the Role
Valiente Asset Management Limited is recruiting a Business Development Executive to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and drive growth across our investment product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase Assets Under Management (AUM)
- Develop and execute strategies to attract high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), corporates, institutions, and retail investors
- Promote mutual funds, portfolio management services, and other investment products in line with SEC guidelines
- Prepare and deliver sales pitches, proposals, and investment presentations to prospective clients
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing regular updates on portfolio performance
- Understand clients' financial goals and recommend appropriate investment solutions
- Provide after-sales service and handle client inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Market Research & Analysis
- Monitor financial market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the asset management industry
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and distribution channels
- Provide insights to support product development and marketing strategies
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all marketing and business development activities comply with SEC regulations and internal policies
- Maintain accurate records of business leads, sales activities, and client interactions
- Prepare periodic business development reports for management review
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years' experience in business development, sales, or relationship management in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Financial Services
- Strong knowledge of investment products, financial markets, and the regulatory environment in Nigeria
