We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview:

An Assistant Chef supports the head chef by prepping ingredients (washing, chopping, peeling), cooking dishes, maintaining kitchen sanitation, and managing inventory.

Key duties include operating equipment, following recipes, and ensuring food safety compliance. They are crucial for maintaining high-volume kitchen efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, cutting, and seasoning ingredients; preparing sauces, dressings, and, in some cases, desserts or salads.

Cooking Assistance: Assisting with cooking tasks under the guidance of a Chef de Partie or Head Chef.

Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintaining a "clean as you go" work area, cleaning appliances, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Inventory & Stock Control: Checking, rotating, and storing inventory, including monitoring ingredient freshness and stock levels.

Service & Support: Preparing the dining area, assisting with special functions, and ensuring high standards of food presentation.
