Accountant - West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE), Lagos

Our client is a retail company that specializes in carefully curated gifts and toys, offering high-quality products in a vibrant and customer-focused environment. The company is committed to operational excellence and sound financial management. Salary: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 Working Terms: 7 days a week (2 days off) Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions

• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports

• Manage accounts payable and receivable

• Monitor cash flow, sales reconciliation, and inventory-related transactions

• Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies

• Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions

• Support management with financial insights to improve business performance

Requirements:

• BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within a retail environment

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Willingness to work within a 7-day operational schedule with designated days off
