Accountant

Our client is a retail company that specializes in carefully curated gifts and toys, offering high-quality products in a vibrant and customer-focused environment. The company is committed to operational excellence and sound financial management. Salary: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 Working Terms: 7 days a week (2 days off) Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions - Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports - Manage accounts payable and receivable - Monitor cash flow, sales reconciliation, and inventory-related transactions - Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts - Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies - Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies - Identify financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions - Support management with financial insights to improve business performance Requirements: - BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within a retail environment - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting - Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel - High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Willingness to work within a 7-day operational schedule with designated days off
