  • Bachelor's degree, Masters, in Accounting or related field.
  • Teaching qualification/certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience teaching Accounting subjects at the secondary school level, colleges or universities.
  • Strong knowledge of the Nigerian educational curriculum and assessment methods.
  • ICT compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Proximity to Akowonjo, Lagos, ensuring timely arrival for teaching duties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
Desirable
  • Residency near the school's location, or a willingness to relocate, to reduce transportation expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards for Accounting.
  • Ensure lessons cater to the varying needs and abilities of students.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in Accounting.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including E-lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning experiences.
  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student performance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Address student behavior and academic concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of education and in the subjects being taught.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share best practices.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.
