Job description
## Title: Senior Sales Engineer
General Function & Key Objectives
Ensure business goals are met in terms of product sales, sales growth, market share improvement, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed sales budget for RPM brands and grow RPM sales in the assigned geographical territory
- Develop sales through direct sales visits and engagement with contracted freelancers as needed
- Implement guided sales strategy to achieve growth and sales targets
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with established customers through close account management and attention to their needs
- Assess and define customer applications to ensure correct product representation and integrity
- Promote RPM brands through value-based sales processes
- Interact actively with customers to become their consultant in selling our products
- Follow up with existing customers demonstrating high commitment and professionalism
- Set and maintain coherent and clear sales activity agendas
- Protect and promote RPM price positioning and premium offerings
- Achieve minimum gross contribution of 30%
Technical Support & Sales Process
- Support sales through site surveys and provide technical advice to existing and new potential customers
- Continuously improve technical knowledge on product technologies and applications
- Support the complete sales process including prospecting, discussions, demonstrations, exhibitions, reference selling, and negotiations
- Maintain regular contact with all customers
Time Allocation
- Spend 70% of time meeting existing and finding new potential customers
- Spend 30% of time on negotiations
Reporting
Report daily, weekly, and monthly using sales tools and databases to document activities and market information collected (customers, competitors, actions in progress).
