## Title: Secondary Physical Education Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Physical Education teacher to join our secondary school team at American International School of Lagos.

Minimum Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of full-time teaching experience at a progressive and/or international school
Current international qualification or certification in teaching
Experience serving a school that functions as a community hub

Child development: social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children
Understanding by Design (UbD) and backwards design methodology
Standards-based assessment and reporting
High-impact research-based instructional strategies
Classroom management and positive discipline
Child protection and safeguarding practices
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

Exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills
IT skills and ability to use technology applications that enhance learning, communication, and school improvement
Commitment to inclusion and fostering student sense of belonging
Ability to differentiate instruction through scaffolding, grouping practices, and choice to meet diverse learning needs
Willingness to make a positive difference in students' lives beyond the classroom
Ability to provide targeted, timely, and actionable feedback
Comfort with multiple perspectives within the classroom and community
Results-oriented approach with demonstrated skill in using data to inform teaching and learning
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to school stakeholders: students, colleagues, and parents
