## Title: Receptionist

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited as a Receptionist in Lagos, Nigeria.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Check-in and check-out guests to company standards
  • Greet, welcome, and inform guests of policies during the check-in process
  • Verify guests' payment methods and deliver room keys
  • Advise guests on room features, utilities, and local amenities
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times and handle calls and emails efficiently and effectively
  • Input high-volume reservations correctly and note any special requests
  • Make bookings and cancellations by phone, email, or face-to-face, recording information on computer
  • Answer questions about hotel facilities, local transport, places of interest, and entertainment
  • Promote and upsell the property's facilities as a brand ambassador
  • Use sales skills to promote additional hotel services and facilities
  • Handle special requests such as room service, taxi bookings, or wake-up calls
  • Compute guests' bills and post charges to ensure correct billing per hotel standards
  • Maintain records of guest room bookings and accommodation details
  • Accommodate guests with extra pillows, cots, toiletries, and other amenities
  • Pass messages to guests and handle mail for posting
  • Help guests access the internet and Wi-Fi
  • Liaise with all managers regarding any issues and concerns
  • Escalate guests' problems to the appropriate member of staff
  • Book and schedule conference rooms as needed
  • Create incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documents requested by management
  • Enforce hotel rules and regulations
  • Alert management of any issues or concerns
  • Support other units as directed by the General Manager
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times
