Payroll Specialist at Speedaf Nigeria Limited

Job Summary

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in the Human Resources department by ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, including calculating wages and salaries, managing deductions, and maintaining payroll records, while adhering to payroll laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax and benefit deductions
• Enter and manage payroll data in payroll systems and databases
• Collaborate with HRBPs to collate employee data, KPIs, and approvals from departmental heads
• Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
• Calculate employee salaries, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions (taxes, insurance, etc.)
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns
• Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable rules
• Create periodic payroll reports for management, accounting, and other stakeholders
• Manage employee benefits, such as health insurance and retirement plans
• Perform other duties as directed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
• Three or more years of prior experience in the payroll field
• Hands-on experience in handling payroll
• Comprehensive knowledge of local laws and regulations
