Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems and tools for the program/project
• Ensure effective data collection, analysis, and evaluation in line with requirements from commissioning parties (EU and BMZ) and the implementing agency
• Provide input for reports to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the EU
• Support the development of annual workplans and budgets
• Manage information, knowledge, and communication for the project by providing results data
• Liaise with and provide information to internal and external evaluators
• Support partner institutions (FMAFS), government MDAs, financial intermediaries, business development organisations, associations, and companies active in business support services
• In close consultation with the Head of Project, prepare and conduct qualitative and quantitative research and surveys on the project and project environment, including developing survey instruments, field trials, training field staff, organizational preparation, data collection and analysis, and report writing
• Represent the programme at partners' activities, particularly those relating to result-based monitoring, progress reviews, and evaluations; contribute actively to discussions and decision-making processes
• Support institutional capacity development of staff in alignment with planned project outcomes and results
• Perform other work-related duties as required
