## Title: Information Systems Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to end users on IT desktop and operational-related issues
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems efficiently
  • Respond to telephone calls, emails, and requests for technical support
  • Document, track, and monitor problems using ticketing and incident management systems to ensure timely resolution
  • Manage ticket requests and follow up with users to confirm resolution
  • Receive and work on escalated issues from desktop staff and management
  • Install and maintain Windows and Mac operating systems (OS)
  • Troubleshoot PC, laptop, and tablet hardware and software issues
  • Track inventory when receiving and shipping hardware onsite
  • Provide on-call support for vendor access requirements
  • Provide on-call support for issues that arise outside normal business hours

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 2–3 years of directly related work experience in a technical helpdesk position
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Windows 7, 8, and 10
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools or open-source alternatives
  • Experience supporting business applications in a business environment

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong application system skills, including productivity applications
  • Very good knowledge of IP networks
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, VPNs, and security methodologies
  • Thorough knowledge of voice and data communications techniques and technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Superior customer service and support experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution capabilities
  • Ability to contribute to infrastructure improvements
