About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join NewGate Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria as a Human Resources Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective human resource policies
• Deploy and automate HR processes using appropriate software tools
• Identify staffing needs and prepare or review job descriptions
• Conduct recruitment exercises and negotiate employment agreements
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices
• Oversee staff onboarding, training, and performance management
• Develop and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage across branches
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records and HR documentation
• Manage employee benefits, welfare programs, and professional development initiatives
• Supervise company personnel and drive staff motivation and engagement
• Support management in achieving strategic HR and organizational objectives

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant HR experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to long-term growth with the company
• Willingness to work on some weekends and public holidays when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPM) from a recognized body
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Residence within proximity to Ikorodu
