HSE Officer at ACO Nigeria

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HSE Officer with experience in the renewable energy sector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance and promoting a strong safety culture on solar project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures specific to solar project operations
• Conduct site inspections for solar farm installations, roof-top solar systems, and related works
• Monitor compliance with environmental standards, waste management, and sustainable practices
• Perform risk assessments and toolbox talks for site workers and contractors
• Investigate incidents and accidents, and recommend corrective and preventive actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in HSE roles within the energy, power, or construction sector (solar industry experience is an advantage)
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, First Aid, Fire Safety)
