Job Summary - The Fiber Optic Technician is responsible for installing, splicing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic cables and internet infrastructure to ensure reliable, high-quality connectivity for customers. - This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team. Key Responsibilities - Install and configure fiber optic cables, routers, ONTs, and related equipment at customer sites. - Perform fiber splicing, termination, and troubleshooting using appropriate tools and devices. - Conduct signal testing, power-level checks, and network performance diagnostics. - Identify, analyze, and resolve fiber faults, breaks, and performance issues. - Maintain accurate installation records, test results, and service documentation. - Ensure all installations follow company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices. - Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates and guidance during installations or repairs. - Perform routine maintenance and support scheduled network upgrades. - Collaborate with the network operations team to resolve connectivity problems quickly.
