Fiber Linesmen at LinkOrg Networks

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Fiber Optic Linesman. In this role, you will perform all necessary activities in the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground fiber optic networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine network inspections to identify defects in need of repair
• Construct and maintain overhead and underground fiber optic networks
• Work in conjunction with electric crews to transfer fiber cable for line rebuild and relocation
• Operate all hand tools, implements, devices, equipment, and materials required for work completion
• Assist with after-hours troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and all employees working nearby
• Understand and utilize safety and protective equipment

Required Qualifications

• SSCE (Secondary School Certificate Examination)
• One to two years of experience with fiber optic cable line construction and maintenance
• Ability to work within energized power zones
• First Aid, CPR, and pole-top resuscitation certification
