Position Overview: - Waiters and waitresses in a hotel are responsible for serving food and drinks to guests while delivering excellent customer service. - They are the direct link between the kitchen and the guest, and their service greatly affects the guest’s experience. Key Responsibilities: - Welcome guests warmly and present menus - Take food and drink orders accurately - Answer questions about menu items - Make recommendations when needed - Write or input orders correctly into the system - Communicate special requests (no pepper, allergies, etc.) to the kitchen - Ensure orders are served correctly and on time - Serve food and drinks professionally - Check that meals are properly presented before serving - Serve in the correct order (drinks, starters, main course, dessert) - Refill drinks and attend to guests during the meal - Prepare and present bills to guests - Handle cash, POS, or card payments - Return correct balance and receipts - Follow proper cashier procedures - Clear tables after guests finish - Keep the dining area clean and organized - Reset tables for the next guests - Check on guests to ensure satisfaction - Handle minor complaints politely and quickly - Report serious issues to supervisors - Thank guests and invite them to return - Work closely with kitchen staff and supervisors - Assist fellow waiters during busy periods - Support banquet or event services when required Skills: Required: - Good communication skills - Friendly and polite attitude - Ability to work under pressure - Good memory and attention to detail - Neat appearance and personal hygiene - Basic math skills for billing.
