Vehicle Fleet Manager II at ICRC - International Committee of the Red Cross

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Logistics Country Manager, the Vehicle Fleet Manager II oversees the management of the ICRC vehicle fleet in their country of assignment to ensure operational needs are met while maintaining strict compliance with headquarters standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine fleet needs and maximize efficiency and effectiveness through planned resource allocation in accordance with headquarters guidelines
• Monitor, organize, and optimize the vehicle pool to support delegation operations
• Ensure generator setups are properly installed and configured to meet power load requirements
• Implement and maintain ICRC Fleet Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and systems in an agile, well-organized manner
• Provide technical input in decision-making regarding private transport services under contract, including freight transport and car/bus rental
• Manage administrative paperwork related to vehicles and drivers in compliance with headquarters guidelines, including vehicle and driver data files, registration, import/export/transfer documentation, and convoy documentation
• Collaborate with Logistician/Premise staff to ensure all sites maintain security standards regarding fire safety, protection from weapons-related damage, and prevention of illegal access
• Ensure all vehicles comply with ICRC and national regulations regarding third-party liability insurance, comprehensive coverage, and roadworthiness at all times
• Manage and control fuel supplies with final accountability; develop and maintain contingency plans
• Establish spare parts and workshop tools inventory bi-annually and conduct regular controls in accordance with ICRC standards
• Conduct effective and efficient resource planning and scheduling for both ICRC and non-ICRC-owned vehicles within the operational area
