## Title: Reconciliations Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Reconciliations Officer to join the Blowfish Hotel team in Lagos. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and timely reconciliation of all banking and transaction activities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank transfers with the company's books using Tally accounting software
- Reconcile Blowfish Group point of sales (POS) transactions
- Prepare monthly bank ledger reconciliations
- Identify and report any irregularities and variances discovered during reconciliation processes
- Recommend corrections for variances to ensure timely resolution
- Create journal entries to correct issues identified during previous months' reconciliations
- Reconcile Blowfish Group bank statements
- Authorize room rent payment receipts
Required Education & Experience
- HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Reconciliation expertise
- Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
- Computer proficiency
- Understanding of financial regulations
