## Title: QHSE Officer

Location

Plateau State & Niger State, Nigeria

Reports To

QHSE Coordinator

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. You will support quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) initiatives across operations, working closely with the QHSE team to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Group and Local QHSE Representatives with internal audits
  • Support the Local QHSE Coordinator with administrative tasks
  • Collect data from relevant departments, update QHSE weekly and other reports, and communicate findings to Group QHSE within specified deadlines
  • Prepare and deliver weekly QHSE awareness sessions
  • Submit weekly reports to the Local QHSE Supervisor/Country Head summarizing completed, current, and planned activities
  • Generate reports on Integrated Management System (IMS) performance and submit to Direct Supervisor and Group QHSE, suggesting improvements as needed
  • Consolidate total waste data from all departments within operations
  • Consolidate total chemical product usage across departments and ensure recycled products are used where feasible
  • Minimize raw material usage
  • Suggest safety instructions, procedures, and policies when needed
  • Conduct regular inspections in coordination with QHSE Representatives to assess environmental and health & safety plan adherence
