Procurement Officer

Position Overview: - The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-quality goods and services for the organization at competitive prices. - The role ensures timely procurement processes, maintains vendor relationships, manages inventory levels, and ensures compliance with procurement policies and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capability. - Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. - Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors. - Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply. - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor contracts, and delivery schedules. - Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing. - Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and timelines. - Inspect and verify quality of supplied goods and services. - Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers. - Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications: & Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - 2–3 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or similar role. - Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. - Good knowledge of procurement processes, market research, and inventory control. - Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software is an added advantage. - High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
