Position Overview: - The Ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and related accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and proper financial reporting. - The role integrates payroll operations with core accounting activities and requires hands-on use of SeamlessHR for payroll administration, reporting, and employee data management. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management: - Process end-to-end monthly payroll using SeamlessHR, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Compute salaries, allowances, bonuses, overtime, arrears, and deductions - Manage statutory deductions and compliance (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NHIS, ITF, NSITF) - Prepare and submit statutory schedules and remittances to relevant authorities - Maintain payroll master data and ensure alignment with HR records - Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll queries Accounting & Financial Responsibilities: - Post payroll journals into the general ledger - Reconcile payroll accounts, salary control accounts, and statutory liabilities - Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities relating to payroll - Prepare payroll cost reports for management decision-making - Support budgeting and forecasting of staff costs - Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and staff costs Systems & Controls: - Ensure payroll data integrity within SeamlessHR - Implement and monitor payroll controls to prevent errors and fraud - Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on salary reviews, promotions, exits, and benefits changes - Support system improvements and process optimization Required Qualifications: & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline - Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is highly preferred - 4-6 years of experience handling payroll and accounting functions - Hands-on experience using SeamlessHR. - Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and payroll regulations - Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software - High attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity.
