An established company is recruiting for the following position.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking an Operations Manager for our AJUWON-AKUTE Branch.
- The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the branch, supporting the achievement of the organization’s predefined goals.
Roles
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
- Coordinate all departments (sales floor, inventory, cash office, warehouse, security, and bakery) to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained across the store.
- Monitor stock availability, stock rotation, shrinkage control, and loss prevention activities.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards at all times.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate staff performance, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Implement operational improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the supermarket.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of HND / BSc in any relevant discipline.
- Applicant must live within close proximity to the Branch
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a senior supervisory role within a supermarket or retail environment.
- Strong leadership, people-management, and decision-making skills.
- Good understanding of supermarket operations, inventory control, and customer service management.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic financial and reporting skills, including sales tracking and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant retail management software.
