ICT Specialist II at ICRC - International Committee of the Red Cross

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Finance and Admin Manager, the ICT Specialist II provides comprehensive support and maintains proper functionality of ICT infrastructure. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, and offer technical support to users in Mubi and other sites as requested.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and regularly update ICT inventory while ensuring adequate stock levels
• Ensure global and country-level policies and procedures are implemented and followed
• Brief, advise, and train end-users on ICRC ICT systems
• Install, program, adapt, and maintain professional ICRC informatics equipment (computers, servers, printers, peripherals, internal networks, power systems, cabling, modems, and internet facilities) in accordance with internal standards and procedures
• Install, program, adapt, and maintain professional ICRC telecom/radio equipment (HF, VHF, UHF, modems, antennas, cabling, power systems, inverters, batteries, and repeaters) in accordance with internal standards and procedures
• Install, program, adapt, and maintain professional ICRC telephone equipment including PABX systems (satellite phones, switchboards, wireless units, telephone sets, GSM gateways) in accordance with internal standards and procedures
• Provide timely response to helpdesk requests from callers and walk-ins, offering remote assistance to users with ICT problems
• Support users with data backup and restoration, as well as virus detection, removal, and prevention
• Accurately log all ICT support requests in the ICT Service Portal and ensure resolution according to agreed Service Level Agreements; escalate unresolved problems to the ABJ ICT Manager, ICT Engineer, or L3 service desk
• Assist with staff administration related to joining, leaving, or moving between sites, including creation and configuration of new computers and services
• Repair or organize repairs of broken ICT equipment
