About the Role

An established company is recruiting for a Human Resources Officer to join their team in Lagos, Nigeria. This role encompasses recruitment, performance management, human capital administration, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Performance Management

• Liaise with the talent resourcing team to organize and coordinate regional recruiting processes, including creating job advertisements and managing online postings
• Schedule and conduct recruitment activities
• Organize and implement the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, benefit explanations, and ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience
• Facilitate scheduled performance review processes, providing guidance, tools, and training for managers and employees
• Provide HR reports as needed to central administration and leadership
• Assist in annual budget planning and maintenance of departmental budget

Human Capital Management

• Maintain all employee data, records, and files in accordance with statutory and organizational requirements
• Ensure files and systems are updated and accurate at all times
• Monitor employee absences, including use of electronic time-keeping systems, and liaise with managers as required
• Provide compensation-related data to support payroll preparation and processing
• Ensure timely resolution of compensation-related queries

Employee Relations

• Serve as key communicator and enforcer of HR policies and procedures, including leave of absence and time and attendance management
• Ensure effective implementation of organizational policies and procedures
• Provide employee relations advice and guidance to current and former employees
• Advise leadership on organizational matters

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience
• Proven work experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is required
• Strong data analysis skills
