## Title: Human Resources Officer
Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer will lead the implementation of DANUWA's human resource policies and systems, ensuring fair recruitment, effective staff management, and compliance with labor laws and donor standards. The role focuses on nurturing a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture that reflects DANUWA's values of teamwork, innovation, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing
- Coordinate transparent and timely recruitment processes including job posting, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding
- Draft and manage employment contracts, offer letters, renewals, and separations
- Maintain accurate and consistent job descriptions across all positions
- Conduct comprehensive staff orientation sessions on DANUWA's policies, code of conduct, safeguarding, and organizational culture
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with DANUWA's HR manual and donor requirements
HR Administration and Record Management
- Maintain confidential, up-to-date personnel files (contracts, leave, appraisals, and trainings)
- Track attendance, leave utilization, and contract expiry timelines
- Provide accurate HR data to finance for payroll processing
- Ensure all HR correspondence, approvals, and supporting documents are properly filed (both digital and hard copy)
Employee Relations and Staff Welfare
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and grievances
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture aligned with DANUWA's values
- Support staff welfare initiatives, medical and insurance schemes, and well-being activities
- Address staff concerns with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy
- Reinforce DANUWA's zero-tolerance policy on harassment, abuse, and discrimination
Performance Management and Capacity Strengthening
- Coordinate performance appraisal cycles and track compliance
- Guide supervisors through performance management processes
