## Title: Human Resources Assistant

About the Role

Under the supervision of the HR Officer, the HR Assistant is responsible for the effective and consistent implementation of HR processes, functions, and procedures. You will monitor HR projects and workflow, oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes, and support general office operations. This role promotes corporate values and facilitates organizational success through human resources management, including staff appraisal, training, capacity development, employment cycle management, and personnel recruitment support.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, knowledgeable, and well-organized with a proactive attitude and strong leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining employee databases and implementing efficient filing systems
  • Maintain proper records of employee attendance and leave
  • Assist HR Officer with hiring and salary administration
  • Submit online job postings and assist in the recruitment process
  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees
  • Accurately complete required paperwork for new staff members
  • Support the writing of corrective action memos and other documentation; attend or conduct corrective action sessions as warranted and perform necessary follow-up
  • Update the HR database and personal files to facilitate HR processes management
  • Maintain all essential applicant and interview data in Human Resources systems
  • Ensure that all employee inquiries and grievances are satisfactorily addressed
  • Ensure employees are properly counseled regarding human resources policies, procedures, and practices
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed and identifying employees' performance development needs
