Human Resource Officer at Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF)

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking a Human Resources Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and human resources support for effective delivery of HR functions. You will maintain HR systems, support employee relations, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the HR database by regularly updating employee information and maintaining accurate, timely employee filing systems
• Advise Line Managers and staff on HR matters, performance management, HR administration, and employee relations in accordance with organizational standards and local laws
• Actively participate in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the hiring process
• Create and implement effective onboarding plans and develop training and development programs
• Assist in performance management processes and facilitate capacity building initiatives
• Support management with disciplinary and grievance issues
• Maintain employee records (attendance, personal data, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
• Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
• Guide and support managers and staff on HR policies and procedures, monitoring implementation in line with internal regulations and labor law
• Facilitate the smooth movement of personnel between operational and field offices, including processing and forwarding completed requests to necessary agencies
• Execute administrative and legally-related tasks under supervision of the Operations Manager
• Manage payroll procedures, ensuring all data related to monthly salary calculations are correctly collected (days off, unpaid leaves, sick leaves, overtime, etc.)
• Ensure all project staff are properly briefed and inducted
