HSE Officer

Salary: NGN 300,000 – NGN 400,000 (Gross) Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies on construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, promote a safe working environment, and minimize workplace risks. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures - Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards - Monitor and report on safety performance and incidents - Organize safety training and toolbox meetings for site workers - Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions - Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) - Maintain HSE documentation and reports Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry as an HSE Officer - Relevant certification in Health, Safety & Environment (NEBOSH or equivalent is an advantage) - Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations - Excellent communication and reporting skills - Ability to identify hazards and implement preventive measures - Strong attention to detail and leadership skills
