HR Generalist at Valency Agro Nigeria Limited

Job Summary

Valency Agro Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage and oversee all human resources functions within our factory operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR processes, compliance, and employee engagement, with hands-on experience in biometric systems such as Virdi.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage HR policies and procedures in line with company standards
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for factory staff
• Manage payroll, compensation, and benefits administration
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and health & safety regulations
• Handle employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary actions
• Maintain accurate HR records and reports using HRIS and biometric systems (Virdi experience required)
• Support performance management and appraisal processes
• Coordinate staff welfare programs and engagement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 5–10 years of HR experience in a factory or manufacturing plant environment
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
• Proficiency in HRIS and biometric attendance systems (experience with Virdi is mandatory)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Additional Skills Required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis for HR reporting
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to implement HR automation tools for efficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in HR (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent)
