Job description

A reputable construction company operating in Akure, Ondo State, is seeking an experienced and result-driven HR Assistant to support our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day HR operations and help ensure smooth and efficient HR processes. Location: Akure-Benin Expressway, Ondo State Key Responsibilities: - Support onboarding and induction of new employees, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time - Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files in line with data protection requirements - Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate employee information and changes - Support performance management processes, including appraisals and training records - Help coordinate employee training and development activities - Respond to employee HR queries and provide basic guidance on HR policies and procedures - Assist with disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes - Prepare HR reports, letters, and other documentation as instructed by the HR Manager - Support general HR administrative duties and ad hoc projects - Carry out any other duty assigned within Skills:   - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - High attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels - Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines  Qualifications and Requirements: - A degree or HND in Human Resource Management or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years in an HR or administrative role - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment procedures - Strong organizational and communication skills - Good attention to detail - Preferably Female Applicants
