Position Overview: - A Hotel Porter (also called a Bellboy/Bell Attendant) is responsible for assisting guests with their luggage and ensuring they have a smooth arrival and departure experience. Main Duties & Responsibilities - Welcome guests warmly on arrival - Open doors and assist guests entering or leaving the hotel - Escort guests to their rooms when required - Carry guests’ luggage to and from their rooms - Handle bags carefully to avoid damage - Store luggage safely for early arrivals or late departures - Show guests how to use room facilities (AC, TV, lights, Wi-Fi, etc.) - Inform guests about hotel services (restaurant, bar, gym, pool, breakfast time) - Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel entrance and lobby area - Manage trolleys and luggage carts - Assist with valet parking or directing vehicles (where applicable) - Run errands for guests (delivering messages, parcels, and room items) - Respond quickly to guest requests - Provide directions and local information when asked - Monitor people coming in and out of the hotel - Report suspicious activities to security or management Physical Requirements - Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy luggage - Able to stand and walk for long periods - Good communication skills - Friendly and polite personality - Smart appearance and good hygiene - Strong customer service attitude - Ability to work under pressure - Honest and trustworthy.
