Field Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview: - To ensure that products are repaired/maintained according to laid down company procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Repair of inverter board, AVR and other electrical/electronic devices up to PCB level using soldering machine. - Complete routine and non-routine maintenance i.e. Inverter, etc. - Attend to all complaints as relating to technical faults on all the products. - Receive incoming defective products from RMA officer. - Verify all returned products to ascertain the defectiveness of the product. - Diagnose the product to confirm the fault and proffer solutions. - Clarify with the customer, if necessary, the fault to confirm the product faults before repairs. - Carry out the repairs of the defective product base on the diagnosis and other discovered problem. - Document the repairs’ part used for billing by the RMA officer. - Test the repaired product(s) to confirm the product proper functions. - Perform other function assigned. Objective: - To effect repairs/maintenance of company products. Key Performance Indicators - Achievement of targets. - Volume and Quality of repairs. - Timely completion of routine and non-routine repairs. - Positive attitude to work. - Adherence to company rules, policies and procedures. Requirements: - Minimum of OND/NABTEB or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. - 2-4 years of relevant and progressive experience. - Good business communication (including written and verbal) skills. - Expert presentation and interpersonal skills. - Good carriage, professional appearance and outlook to work. - Strong business ethics. Competency Required: Skills: - Repair of electrical/ electronic devices. - Problem solving/Troubleshooting. - Strong interpersonal skills - Soldering of PCB skills.
