Field Agent (Cooperative Collector) at Yenjay Consultancy Services Limited

About the Role

Our client is seeking Field Agents (Cooperative Collectors) to play a vital role in the daily operations of a tech-enabled cooperative hub. You will serve as the cooperative's direct link with the community at the grassroots level, responsible for collecting thrift contributions, onboarding new members, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect daily thrift contributions (savings) from registered members in assigned locations
• Ensure accurate recording of all member contributions
• Conduct field-level onboarding and KYC verification for new contributors
• Remit all collections daily to the cooperative's designated account or office
• Submit timely and accurate daily and weekly reports of collections, member activities, and field observations
• Maintain strong relationships with members, addressing basic inquiries and escalating issues when necessary
• Safeguard collected funds and maintain zero tolerance for misappropriation or delays
• Support cooperative growth through active member engagement and mobilization

Required Qualifications

• Must reside in Port Harcourt
• Minimum of OND qualification; higher qualifications are an added advantage
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience in field collections, microfinance, agency banking, or cooperative societies (preferred)
• Strong numeracy and basic record-keeping skills
• Familiarity with or residence within assigned coverage area
