Job description
We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a proactive and organized Event Assistant to support the planning, coordination, and execution of events.
- The role involves assisting with logistics, vendor management, on-site event support, and ensuring all events run smoothly and successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and organizing events, including corporate, promotional, and social events
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to ensure timely delivery of services and equipment
- Support on-site setup, decoration, and breakdown of events
- Manage event schedules, timelines, and logistics to ensure smooth execution
- Assist in coordinating guest lists, invitations, and RSVPs
- Help prepare event materials such as signage, programs, and giveaways
- Monitor event activities to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards
- Assist in handling client queries and provide timely updates on event progress
- Document events and assist with post-event reports and feedback
- Support the Event Manager with administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma/HND or equivalent in Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience in event planning or support is an advantage
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, or public holidays when required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic event management tools.
