This vacancy presents a chance to join a leading organization. Position Overview: - You will be responsible for preparation, presentation and serving of afro fusion, fine dining meals and pastries. Ensuring meals are of high quality and timely delivery, stock inventory and re-stocking request. Duties & Responsibilities Culinary and Pastry Preparation: - Utilize culinary expertise to prepare and create a diverse range of dishes, including savory meals and pastries. - Bake, Decorate and write messages on cake using pastry bags and tips Menu Development: - Contribute to menu development by proposing new dishes and pastry items, considering seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Kitchen Management: - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, overseeing the washing of dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. - Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, overseeing both culinary and pastry ingredients. Service Excellence: - Provide hands-on support during peak hours, overseeing both culinary and pastry production to maintain quality and efficiency. - Adhere to health and safety regulations, implementing proper food handling, storage procedures, and personal hygiene practices. Team Leadership: - Effectively communicate with team members, coordinating tasks, and ensuring a harmonious workflow between culinary and pastry production. - Adaptability and Innovation: - Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities, such as overseeing pastry production, assisting with kitchen maintenance, or contributing to special projects. Requirements: - Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 2-6 years experience. - Strong culinary expertise in international and local cuisines - Ability to bake, decorate and write messages on cake using pastry bags and tips - Creativity in menu development and plating aesthetics - Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment - Attention to detail and commitment to excellence - Culinary certification or relevant qualification is an advantage.
