Accounting Intern

Position Overview: LECC Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support the Finance Department in daily accounting and financial operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in healthcare finance, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance, while working under the supervision of experienced finance professional. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with daily accounting entries, record keeping, and documentation - Support preparation of payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts - Help reconcile bank statements - Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and  - Support month-end and year-end financial closing report - Assist with expense tracking - Support audit preparations and provide required documentation - Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and procedures - Perform other finance-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications: & Requirements: - Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or OND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field - Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools - Knowledge of accounting software is an added advantage - Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills - High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail - Willingness to learn and ability to work well in a team Key Competencies: - Attention to detail and accuracy - Time management and organization - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Problem-solving mindset - Professional attitude and eagerness to learn
