Cashier

About the Role

The Cashier is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, issuing receipts, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring proper custody of cash. This position supports the financial operations of Heal Africa Health City S.C. and reports to the Senior Accountant / Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive payments and issue official receipts to clients and customers
• Record daily cash transactions accurately
• Prepare daily cash collection summaries and reports
• Safeguard cash and maintain proper custody of financial documents
• Reconcile cash balances at the end of each working day
• Assist the accounting team with basic bookkeeping tasks
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls
• Maintain professionalism and good customer service

Required Qualifications

• Basic accounting knowledge or relevant experience
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
