System Support Specialist at Directline Assurance Company Limited

Job Purpose

The role holder will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and testing complex systems, networks and infrastructure of computer hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain system architecture and infrastructure that aligns with business objectives and requirements
• Design and implement complex network and system configurations, including hardware and software components, to support business operations
• Manage and maintain server systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and other related infrastructure
• Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to prevent future problems
• Conduct system performance analysis, monitoring and tuning to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to protect system data, information and assets
• Manage backups and disaster recovery
• Collaborate with other technical teams, such as developers, database administrators, vendors and security experts, to ensure successful integration and operation of systems
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of systems
• Participate in the design, development, and testing of software applications and systems
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and trends to ensure continued innovation and competitiveness
• Design or assist with design of graphical user interface (GUI) and workflow charts as required
• Integrate software components and third-party applications
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Programming
