Senior Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer at Warehouse Receipt System Council- WRSC

Position Overview

An established organization is recruiting for a Senior Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer position focused on implementing policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, frameworks and regulations within the warehouse receipting system.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, frameworks and regulations on compliance and quality assurance
• Ensure warehouse operator operations promote efficiency, effectiveness and integrity
• Enforce commodity standards, quantity and quality assurance for the warehouse receipting system
• Issue, suspend or revoke registration or licenses issued under the Act
• Levy fees and other charges payable for examination, inspection, issuance and renewal of registrations and licenses
• Undertake inspection of warehouse operators using standard approved systems and inspection tools
• Prepare guidelines on minimum qualifications and competencies required of graders and weighers
• Ensure effective warehouse operator service delivery to depositors
• Maintain lists of licensed warehouse operators and collateral managers for publication
• Prepare lists for Gazettement of warehouse receipt system inspectors
• Conduct compliance inspections of warehouse operators
• Prepare compliance and quality assurance reports in a timely manner
• Prepare programmes for incorporation in the division's work plans
• Mentor and coach staff under supervision
• Ensure compliance with principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, ethics and integrity
• Ensure full implementation of operational and technical manuals by stakeholders
• Prepare guidelines and qualifications for appointment of warehouse inspectors

Mandatory Requirements

• Cumulative service of six (6) years, with a minimum of three (3) years in the grade of Compliance and Quality Officer I or equivalent qualification in a comparable role
