Key Responsibilities

Business Requirement Analysis & Scenario Coverage

• Review and analyze business requirements to design accurate test scenarios
• Clarify requirements with stakeholders and maintain an updated Traceability Matrix
• Estimate testing efforts and ensure complete scenario coverage for every requirement change

Test Coverage & Execution

• Apply SDLC and STLC principles effectively
• Identify and prioritize critical features and user workflows
• Design and execute functional, regression, and edge case test cases
• Perform exploratory testing and ensure ≥80% coverage
• Track and report defects using tools such as JIRA

Defect Management

• Conduct Smoke, UI, Functional, Integration, End-to-End, and API testing
• Ensure defect leakage in QA stays within acceptable levels
• Collaborate with developers to clarify fixes and retest defects within agreed timelines

UAT Support

• Perform detailed functional and regression testing before UAT
• Validate defect fixes prior to release
• Track defects that escape to UAT and conduct RCA for continuous improvement

Review & Rework Reduction

• Prepare clear, accurate test documentation
• Conduct self-review and peer review of test cases
• Reduce rework by incorporating best practices and feedback

Domain Knowledge Development

• Maintain strong understanding of core banking products and processes
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and improve functional expertise

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical skills and end-to-end testing experience
• Proficiency with testing tools such as JIRA
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC principles
