About the Role
This position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of school supplies, equipment, and services. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support operational efficiency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage procurement activities in line with approved budgets
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure value for money
- Prepare purchase requisitions, LPOs, and maintain accurate procurement records
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procurement regulations
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate stock records
- Coordinate with the finance team on supplier payments and reconciliations
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a procurement or supply chain role (school or institutional setting preferred)
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and inventory management systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership with CIPS or a recognized professional body
