We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will be deployed in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating enterprise risk management (ERM) activities
  • Monitoring risk exposure and advising management accordingly
  • Facilitating identification and evaluation of risks in liaison with business units
  • Coaching management on appropriate risk response strategies
  • Consolidating and preparing risk reports
  • Developing risk management strategies for Board approval
  • Developing, maintaining, and coordinating the implementation of the Authority’s Risk Management Policy and Framework
  • Sensitizing and training staff across the Authority on risk management practices
  • Coordinating and developing disaster recovery and business continuity management strategies
Job Specifications For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
  • A cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Assistant Director, Planning or in a comparable position
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Project Management, Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • A professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CRMA, CRA, CIA, CFE, CRISC, or any other relevant and equivalent certification from a recognized institution
  • Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing, where applicable
  • A leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
