Job description

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will be deployed in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and will be responsible for: - Coordinating enterprise risk management (ERM) activities - Monitoring risk exposure and advising management accordingly - Facilitating identification and evaluation of risks in liaison with business units - Coaching management on appropriate risk response strategies - Consolidating and preparing risk reports - Developing risk management strategies for Board approval - Developing, maintaining, and coordinating the implementation of the Authority’s Risk Management Policy and Framework - Sensitizing and training staff across the Authority on risk management practices - Coordinating and developing disaster recovery and business continuity management strategies Job Specifications For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: - A cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Assistant Director, Planning or in a comparable position - A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution - A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Project Management, Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution - A professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CRMA, CRA, CIA, CFE, CRISC, or any other relevant and equivalent certification from a recognized institution - Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing, where applicable - A leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution - Proficiency in computer applications - Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results Check how your CV aligns with this job
