Counseling Psychology- Lecturer at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Role

Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is seeking a dynamic and qualified Lecturer in Counseling Psychology to join our expanding team in Nairobi, Kenya.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a lecturer, OR five (5) years of research/industry experience with a demonstrated track record of securing research funds
• Minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least sixteen (16) must be from refereed scholarly journals

Essential Experience and Skills

• Demonstrated teaching skills as evidenced by student evaluations and peer reviews
• Proficiency in online teaching and pedagogy
• Experience in major non-teaching responsibilities at a university or reputable organization (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum
• Review curriculum and course outlines, and develop course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ diverse teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate and graduate students, internships, and research projects
• Conduct research in specialist areas and publish findings in professional journals, books, and electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related matters
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and participate in industrial linkages and market outreach activities as required
• Participate in departmental administrative and field operations
