About the Role
Strathmore School invites applications from an experienced Business Studies specialist to teach across Junior School (Grades 7–9) and Senior School (Grades 10–12). We are seeking a teacher who combines strong subject expertise with a demonstrated ability to prepare candidates successfully, inspire high academic standards, and contribute to the wider life of the school. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-structured, motivating Business Studies lessons across Junior and Senior levels, aligned to CBC and 8-4-4 syllabuses
- Prepare learners for candidate classes through exam and assessment preparation, past-paper practice, marking, and feedback
- Embed real-world business contexts, enterprise projects, and financial literacy into the curriculum
- Track and report student progress; plan interventions for underperforming students
- Collaborate in departmental planning, scheme-of-work development, and assessment standardization
- Actively engage in co-curricular activities that support student development
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or related field, plus a recognized teaching qualification
- Valid TSC registration (or equivalent) and demonstrable classroom experience across Junior and Senior School levels
- Evidence of successful classroom management and outcomes-driven teaching
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience delivering enterprise, entrepreneurship, or practical business projects
- Prior work in high-achieving academic environments or with international exam boards
- Ability to contribute to school clubs, entrepreneurship programmes, or mentorship schemes
- Proven experience preparing candidate classes for KCSE 8-4-4 and/or IGCSE examinations
