## Title: Strategic Planning Consultant

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Consultant to develop comprehensive strategic plans for two organisations. You will work collaboratively to transform organisational vision into actionable strategic direction and implementation roadmaps.

Key Objectives

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of each organisation's context and capabilities by reviewing development priorities, governance, programme areas, operational strengths, and stakeholder relationships
  • Set strategic direction by identifying focused and practical priorities, themes, objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and results that reflect organisational mission, vision, and values while addressing current development challenges and community needs
  • Transform strategic goals into actionable steps by developing phased implementation plans that outline specific activities, timelines, responsibilities, and estimated budgets
  • Outline approaches for mobilising resources and building partnerships to support strategic objectives
  • Develop clear Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) frameworks that include indicators, baselines, targets, and tools to monitor progress and assess impact
  • Undertake risk analysis and propose relevant mitigation strategies
  • Develop a multi-annual budget covering the proposed strategic period

Scope of Work

Inception and Planning

  • Conduct inception meeting with the project team to align on expectations, timelines, and deliverables
  • Submit inception report detailing methodology, work plan, and tools to be used

Organisational Review

  • Review existing relevant documents
  • Conduct situational analysis including SWOT and PESTEL assessments for both organisations
  • Undertake context analysis

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate participatory workshops with board members, staff, community representatives, and key partners for each organisation
  • Conduct key informant interviews
