Role Overview
Under the direct supervision of the HROD Manager, the Human Resources Assistant is the focal point providing administrative support for all HR functions. The Human Resources Assistant will assist in human resources activities including recruitment and orientation, personnel files, staff benefits, and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal files under the supervision of the HROD Manager to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time payments
- Assist with general human resource activities for employees, including job advertisements, interviews, recruitment, contracts, personnel files, payroll, and benefits
- Update and maintain staff data in the HRIS software
- Ensure all staff have ID cards and maintain a tracking sheet
- Maintain and update tracking sheets for staff-related benefits, vacation, sick leave, performance evaluations, annual increases, orientation, and employment contracts
- Update the HR database and personal files to facilitate HR processes management
- Ensure all employment contracts comply with legal requirements, including specific amendments when necessary to ensure local labor law compliance
- Prepare relevant documents for staff payroll, including editing and updating necessary data to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Follow up on expiring service level agreements and inform the HROD Manager to allow sufficient time for renewal or alternative arrangements
- Make administrative information available to staff, including postings and meeting notices; support the HROD Manager in document preparation and assist in meetings as requested
- Perform additional HR and administrative tasks as delegated
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience working with an international NGO
